Through Technology

Our comprehensive robotics workshops cover everything from basic electronics to advanced programming concepts. Participants work with industry-standard equipment including Arduino boards, various sensors, motors, and mechanical components.

Each workshop is led by experienced instructors and includes hands-on projects such as building line-following robots, obstacle-avoiding vehicles, and programmable robotic arms. Students learn C++ programming, circuit design, and mechanical engineering principles.

At the end of each workshop, participants receive a certificate and can continue to access our makerspace to work on personal projects. Alumni often return as mentors for new cohorts.

Our events provide platforms for participants to showcase their skills, learn new technologies, and compete for prizes and recognition. Past events have attracted participants from across Zambia and neighboring countries.

Arduino Day celebrations feature live demonstrations, workshops, and project exhibitions. Raspberry Pi Day focuses on creative computing projects and open-source innovation. Our themed hackathons address specific challenges like environmental monitoring, agricultural technology, and educational tools.

Winners receive hardware prizes, mentorship opportunities, and potential funding for project development. Many successful startups and community projects have emerged from our events.

Our mentorship program connects beginners with experienced professionals in technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship. Mentors provide one-on-one guidance, code reviews, project feedback, and career advice.

Monthly meetups feature presentations by community members, skill-sharing sessions, and collaborative problem-solving. We also host online forums where members can ask questions, share resources, and collaborate on projects remotely.

The program is completely free and open to anyone interested in technology. Many of our mentors started as participants and now give back to help the next generation of innovators.

Our makerspace features professional-grade equipment including multiple 3D printers, soldering stations, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and a full range of hand and power tools. Computer workstations come pre-loaded with design software, programming IDEs, and simulation tools.

Members can reserve time for individual projects or join ongoing collaborative builds. The space operates 48 hours per week with trained staff available to assist with equipment operation and technical questions.

Membership options include day passes, monthly visits, and special programs for students. We also offer equipment training sessions to ensure everyone can safely and effectively use all available tools.
